National Adoption Center (NAC)

The National Adoption Center, located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to expand adoption opportunities for children in the United States, particularly those with special needs and those from minority cultures. The Adoption Center of Delaware Valley, which provides the website you are now using, is an affiliate of the National Adoption Center.

The Delaware Valley Adoption Council is a consortium of over 50 public and private agencies, individuals, and groups in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania who promote and advance the cause of adoption in the Tri-State region.
Pennsylvania Adoption Exchange

The Pennsylvania Adoption Exchange (PAE) was established by the Department of Public Welfare to help agencies find adoptive families for Pennsylvania's waiting children. PAE is not an adoption agency, but serves to connect families who want to adopt with children waiting for permanent families. The PAE website includes photos and descriptions of waiting children.
Three Rivers Adoption Council (TRAC)

TRAC's mission is to improve adoption opportunities for all children growing up without permanent, caring families. Operated out of Pittsburgh, PA, the TRAC exchange is a listing of waiting children and homestudied families.

State Licensing Specialists
State licensing specialists can tell you whether a particular adoption agency is licensed by the state. Find the specialist for your state in the National Adoption Directory at the National Adoption Information Clearinghouse (NAIC) website at www.calib.com/naic/database/nadd/naddsearch.cfm.
Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) State Representatives
For families adopting a child or children from different states than their own view a chart listing the contacts in each state at the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) website at http://icpc.aphsa.org.
Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance (ICAMA)- State Representatives
Families adopting a child or children from different states than their own,
can view information listing ICAMA and other adoption contacts for each of the member states at the Association of Administrators of the Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance (AAICAMA) website at http://aaicama.aphsa.org/who.html. At the website, select Who We Are, then scroll down to the Member States chart and click on any state.
